Peace of Mind and Pure Reality

Writer: Keiko OzekiKeiko Ozeki

We continue our SONOMAMA (as-it-is-ness) Practice to cultivate peace of mind and live in a state of tranquility.

This very peace allows us to make calm decisions, enrich our daily lives, and experience true fulfillment.

So, how can we attain peace of mind?

By being with the reality of the present moment.

Attaching nothing—simply being with what is.

When you drink tea, there is just the taste of tea.

When a bird chirps, there is just the sound of chirping.

When your back aches, there is just the sensation of pain.

Pure reality is neither more nor less than what it is.

When we separate from it, we fall into confusion.

Chase positivity, and negativity inevitably follows.

Sweet dreams and nightmares—both are just dreams.

That is why the most important thing is to clear the confusion.

Awaken from the dream.
