All Things Arise Through Conditions

All things come into being through conditions and fade away.

“En” (縁) in Japanese represents the intricate web of connections and relationships that bring all things into existence.

Everything is interwoven, interdependent, and ever-changing.

When the right conditions align, something arises.

When those conditions dissolve, it disappears.

Nothing is permanent. No exceptions.

Everything flows—nothing remains fixed.

Even we ourselves are not solid beings but fleeting manifestations of ever-shifting conditions.

What we perceive as “existence” is merely a temporary shape formed in each passing moment.

That is why we must neither cling nor resist, neither add nor subtract,

but simply receive things as they are.

“Ichigo ichie” (一期一会)—each encounter is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

All that exists is this present moment.

Cherish it, for it is all there is.

Arising and fading, again and again—

To be in harmony with this flow is true peace.

Connections Are Crossroads

Connections with people are like crossroads in life.

As we walk our path, we meet others, journey together for a time,

and eventually take separate directions—this is the natural course of life.

These connections do not arise for our convenience, whether good or bad,

but unfold in alignment with the greater flow of the universe.

If we can embrace each encounter with gratitude and say “thank you” at these crossroads,

our journey will feel lighter, freer.

It is precisely because some people leave that space opens for new encounters.

At times, we may walk alongside someone,

only for the bond to loosen and distance to grow.

This too is part of the natural rhythm of relationships.

That is why we must cherish each encounter as a fleeting yet precious moment,

appreciate its presence, and continue moving forward.

With each step, our own unique path will surely reveal itself.

No exceptions—

Everything is a gift.

Everything is in constant motion.

So, let go of attachments.

Continue your journey with lightness.
